The Stage 1 programme is running to plan since the January STC. Numbers in training are stable, rotations for 2026/27 are locked in, and ARCP preparation is on schedule for the June panels.
The ACCS curriculum update is bedding in for its first full year, with implementation across SESSA placements proceeding smoothly. Two Stage 1 resignations took effect within the reporting period; the associated training-grade funding is being managed in dialogue with NES, with one salary redirected into the August 2026 recruitment round and the second held in reserve pending medium-term workforce planning. Sitting alongside these is a wider conversation on regional capacity and Stage 1 throughput, prompted by Linzi’s capacity assessment, with implications for ST4+ allocation, to be taken up under AOCB.
Outstanding actions from the January minutes that fall to me as Core & ACCS TPD:
All items are in progress.
No matters arising from the last meeting that are not covered under the main agenda below.
A full AiT report will be presented by the resident representatives. From the TPD perspective, the period has been quiet in terms of trainee-initiated escalations and communications.
